Our emotions give colour to our every day life. Mostly we experience emotions as a reaction to something that has happened to us, but sometimes emotions just pop up out of no where!
Emotions hang around for a while… When they are related to a happy event, we feel joy and happiness and life is good. When they are related to a sad event, and we feel anger, grief or overwhelmed. When emotions linger around longer than we want them to, we often do not know what to do with them. One sure thing, we do not want to let our emotions take over so that we say or do things we later regret.

Hi,
I am Ilse!!
In my practice, I accompany adults and teens coping with any kind of LOSS by providing a safe, confidential, non-judgmental place where they can discuss their experiences and share their thoughts, feelings and reactions.
I started my interest in Grief, Death and Dying during my Masters in Religion, at the University in Leuven, Belgium. I hold a teachers degree and pastoral community work certification.
I also graduated with a certification of Health Educator at the European Academy for Complementary Medicine in Antwerp, Belgium.
My family has lived in different Latin-American countries. In 2009 we arrived in Canada and that's when I decided to certify in “intervention in palliative care’. I also got a grief Edu-Therapy certification, a cognitive behavioural approach. I am certified by ADEC, the Association for Death Education and Counseling as a grief educator. I am a member of the OAMHP, Ontario Association for Mental Health Professionals
